Describe a time when you made a plan to do an activity with a lot of people - IELTS Cue Card

You should say:

  • What it was
  • When and where you made it
  • What the activity was
  • And explain how you felt about the plan

What it was

Last year, I planned a picnic with my school friends after our final exams. We hadn’t met properly for months due to our busy schedules, so I thought it would be a great way to relax and celebrate the end of the term together.

When and where you made it

We made the plan in April, right after our exams finished. I discussed the idea with my friends in our WhatsApp group, and everyone agreed immediately. After a bit of discussion, we decided to go to Chambal Garden, a beautiful picnic spot in Kota, on the following Sunday.

What the activity was

The main activity was a one-day picnic. We brought homemade food, snacks, and drinks. We played cricket, clicked a lot of pictures, and even went boating on the river. Some of my friends also brought a Bluetooth speaker, so we danced and sang songs together. It was full of laughter and fun.

And explain how you felt about the plan

I felt extremely happy and satisfied with the plan because it helped all of us reconnect after a stressful exam season. Everyone appreciated the idea, and it made me feel proud that I took the initiative. Spending time outdoors with my close friends gave me a sense of joy and relaxation that I still remember fondly.
