You should say:
When and where it happened
What you did
Why it made you feel confident
And explain how you felt about it
This happened about six months ago when I was working on a group project during my final year at university. We had to present a research paper to our professors and classmates in the college seminar hall. It was quite a formal setting, and I still remember how nervous I was at the beginning.
I was responsible for preparing and delivering the main part of the presentation. I spent weeks researching, creating slides, and practicing my speech. On the day of the presentation, I spoke confidently about our findings, explained complex data in simple terms, and even answered a few challenging questions from the audience without hesitation.
It made me feel confident because I realized I could communicate effectively under pressure. Also, the positive feedback from my professors and peers boosted my self-esteem. They appreciated my clarity, my body language, and how I engaged the audience. It felt like all my preparation paid off, and I discovered a strength I didn’t know I had.
I felt incredibly proud and motivated after the experience. It gave me a sense of accomplishment and made me believe in my ability to handle similar situations in the future. Instead of doubting myself, I started looking forward to public speaking and professional challenges. It was a turning point for my confidence.
