You should say:
Who asked for your opinion
Why he/she wanted to know your opinion
What opinion you gave
And explain how you felt when he/she asked for your opinion
One of my close friends, Riya, asked for my opinion. We’ve known each other since college, so she often turns to me when she’s facing an important decision.
She was considering switching careers from finance to graphic design, which is a big shift. Since I work in a creative field, she thought I could provide some useful insights and guidance about what that transition might look like.
I told her that while the change would be challenging, it could be very rewarding if she was passionate about design. I encouraged her to take a few online courses first to test her interest before making a full transition. I also advised her to build a small portfolio and connect with professionals in the industry.
I felt genuinely honored that she trusted me with such an important decision. It made me feel valued and respected. Also, it was fulfilling to know that my knowledge and experience could help someone else take a step toward a more meaningful career.
