The difficult decision I made was to leave my stable full-time job to pursue a master’s degree abroad. At the time, I was working in a well-established company with decent pay and job security. However, I had always dreamed of studying further and gaining international exposure in my field.
I made this decision about three years ago, in early 2022. After months of research and contemplation, I finally submitted my resignation and applied for universities abroad. It was a turning point in my career and personal growth.
It was difficult for several reasons. Firstly, I was giving up a steady income, which is always a big risk. Secondly, there was uncertainty about getting admitted to a good university and adjusting to a new country. Lastly, my family was initially hesitant about me moving so far away, which added emotional pressure.
Fortunately, the decision paid off. I got admitted into a top-ranked university, and the program significantly boosted my skills and confidence. I’ve now received multiple job offers from international companies, and my career prospects have improved dramatically. Looking back, I feel proud and relieved. Taking that leap of faith turned out to be one of the best choices I ever made.
