What place it was?

To be honest, I don’t like visiting places that are gloomy and dull. Such sites leave a somewhat negative impact on my mood. Thus, I prefer those places that are full of colors. So, the last vibrant place I visited was Zakir Hussain Rose Garden in Chandigarh.

Why did you go there?

One of my friends visited me from Canada two years back. And, the responsibility to take her around the neighboring cities was mine. Chandigarh is just 45 minutes away from the city. Thus, it was the first place we decided to explore. Although we visited varying places in the city, I left my heart behind in Rose Garden. It is one of the biggest gardens in the city, spread across more than 30 acres of land, and is filled with thousands of eye-catching and scintillating roses all around.

What you did do there?

I and my friend took a long stroll in the garden. The weather was pleasing and the wind was cold. We spoke about a lot of things at a stretch and clicked plenty of pictures.

In the garden, you can find almost every possible color. In fact, it has 50,000 rose bushes of 16000 varying species. The garden not just has roses but a variety of trees as well that have medicinal value. Some of the plants include bel, Harar, Behera, yellow Gulmohar, camphor, and more. The rose plants have been planted in flower beds and carved-out lawns.
