A true leader is someone who acts selflessly and knows how to guide others wisely. While I have met many individuals with leadership traits, only a few genuinely impressed me with their ability to lead without seeking personal gain.


Who is this person? & How you know this person?


One such person is my best friend, Shelly. We’ve known each other since our primary school days, and I've always admired her confidence and ability to speak up for others. She often represented our class in front of the principal, addressing our concerns without hesitation.


What does she do?


Currently, she is pursuing her graduation at Parul University.


How does this person behave?


Back in school, she was appointed Head Girl, and she excelled in that role. Her communication skills are outstanding, and she actively participated in debate competitions. Shelly also believes in giving back to the community and often donates clothes and essentials to those in need.


Why do you think she is a good leader?


She listens to everyone—friends or foes—with equal respect and tries her best to solve their issues. Her leadership is rooted in empathy and fairness, qualities that make her stand out.


Conclusion:


A good leader doesn't let personal bias cloud judgment, and Shelly has always been someone who puts people before herself.


Model Answer 2: Zahid – A Born Leader


Introduction:


Leadership is an essential trait that not everyone can master. While people may manage others differently, true leaders make a lasting impact.

Today, I want to talk about Zahid, my college friend, who naturally embodies great leadership skills.


What does he do?


Zahid was always the shining star of our college—excelling in both academics and sports. Beyond that, he is actively involved in social work and collaborates with three NGOs, working tirelessly for the community.

Zahid has an extremely charming personality. He is admired not just by fellow students but also by faculty and even the principal. His communication style is inclusive, respectful, and clear, which helps him connect with everyone easily.


Why do you think he is a good leader?


Zahid is a straightforward and solution-oriented person. He doesn’t hesitate to address problems and prefers encouraging people to think critically rather than offering instant answers. This empowers others and makes him a true leader.

Model Answer 3: Aarna – A Calm and Inspiring Leader


Introduction:


Many people possess leadership potential, but only a few can lead effectively when the situation demands it. I’m lucky to know someone like that.

Aarna is full of energy and positivity. As the resident manager of our society, she’s known for being proactive, balanced, and extremely dedicated. She inspires others to stay active and healthy through both her profession and her actions.


Why do you think she is a good leader?


She never rushes to conclusions. Instead, she listens, understands, and then takes action. Thanks to her excellent communication and people skills, she’s often asked to host community events, which she handles gracefully.

A good leader is one who "knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way"—and Aarna exemplifies that every day.

Leadership qualities like honesty, communication, and empathy are timeless. While leadership styles may evolve with technology and societal changes, the core values will likely remain the same.


4. Do you think that in the future there will be more women leaders?


Yes, absolutely. With increasing awareness and opportunities for women, especially in education and professional fields, we can expect to see more women stepping into leadership roles.


5. Should a leader discuss with team members when making decisions?


Definitely. A good leader should involve team members in the decision-making process. This encourages collaboration and often leads to better, more informed outcomes.
