For every four direct on-campus jobs, a further three are supported across the city through the effects generated by the university’s activity on its city centre campus," reads Coventry University's statement.
A recent report has revealed that one in every 20 jobs in Coventry is connected to the Coventry University Group, underscoring its significant contribution to the city's economy. The report highlights that the university generated 14,900 full-time equivalent jobs across the UK and 6,730 jobs within Coventry during the 2021/22 academic year.
Professor John Latham CBE, Vice-Chancellor of Coventry University and Group CEO, emphasized the university's critical role in fostering economic and social growth in the region. He remarked:
